Hearing Set for New Domino's Pizza at 16th and O streets

Last updated on Thursday, July 12, 2018

(BEDFORD) - The Bedford Plan Commission has set a rezoning meeting to hear request for a new Domino’s Pizza.

Michael Harding, who owns two Domino's in Bloomington and one in Ellettsville, plans to build a Domino's on a vacant lot at the corner of 16th and O streets. So Harding is planning to purchase a parcel at 1511/1513 O Street., which is north of the proposed building lot. Harding plans to tear down the home located on the lot and make it a parking lot.

But before he can do that the Plan Commission must approve rezoning that lot for business.

The Plan Commission have set a public hearing on the rezoning for 4 p.m. August 14th at City Hall. City officials will notify the surrounding neighbors about the hearing and they will have a chance to voice their opinions for or against the rezoning.

If the Plan Commission approves the rezoning, Harding says the pizzeria which will offer dine-in, carryout, delivery and a drive-through will open in May.
