Four Pedestrians Injured After Two Vehicles Collide And One Strikes Them

(SPENCER CO.) - Four pedestrians were injured when a vehicle struck them after being involved in a crash on North State Road 545 in New Boston Wednesday night.

According to Indiana State Police reports, a 2013 Buick Enclave driven by 28-year-old Patrick Taylor-Gerber of Tell City and a BMW passenger car driven by a 17-year-old from Owensboro, collided and one of the two vehicles then struck the four pedestrians. Taylor-Gerber was not injured. The teen was treated for minor injuries.

Two of those pedestrians, were flown to the hospital with serious injuries. The two others were taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Indiana State Police Detective/Accident Reconstructionists says the crash remains under investigation and he is waiting on the results of blood and urine analysis results from the State Forensic Laboratory.

Assisting at the scene were The Spencer County Sheriff's Department, Spencer County Emergency Medical Services, Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services and the New Boston and St. Meinrad volunteer fire departments assisted.
