Drug Investigation Nets Four Arrests

(SULLIVAN CO.) - Late Friday night, members of the Indiana State Police Drug Enforcement Section, ISP SWAT team, local troopers, and members of the Greene County Drug Task Force served two search warrants in Sullivan County, one at 224 Depot Street in Sullivan and one at 1008 Miller Street in Dugger.

The execution resulted in four arrests on multiple charges and the recovery of more than $10,000 in cash, a money counter, scales, small amounts of liquid morphine and methamphetamine, assorted drug paraphernalia, multiple weapons and one ballistic vest.

Police arrested:

Shad Collins, 43, of Sullivan, on preliminary charges of dealing meth, possession of meth, possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a syringe and possession of a synthetic drug. Collins was also wanted on Sullivan County warrant for dealing in meth.

William Brett Chastain, 46, of Sullivan, on preliminary charges of resisting law enforcement, visiting a common nuisance and contempt of court violation.

Kevin Eberhardt, 43, of Dugger, on preliminary charges of dealing meth, possession of meth. He was also wanted on Sullivan County warrant for failure to appear on a dealing meth charge.

Bradley Cooksey, 45, of Dugger, on preliminary charges of possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia.

The joint investigation by ISP Drug Enforcement Section members, local troopers, and members of the Greene County Drug Task Force was initiated months ago and culminated into the four arrests. Assisting were the Sullivan County and Greene County Prosecutor's Offices.
