(BEDFORD) - Candidates interested in running for school board in the November election can file beginning Wednesday.
School board positions open for candidates include seats for North Lawrence Community Schools Districts 1, 2, 3 and 5, and Mitchell Community Schools District 2. Currently, these seats are occupied by Kirsten Collier, Gary Holmes, Autumn Ray, Beth Ritter and Cindy Brooking, respectively.
Candidates will need to file petitions with 10 signatures and consent forms with the Lawrence County Clerk. Candidates will be chosen during the general election Nov. 6. The clerk's office will certify petition signatures.
