(LYONS) - A Bedford man died after a tragic accident at the Wagler Motorsports Park in Lyons on Saturday.
The Greene County Sheriff's Department reports 54-year-old William D. Young of Bedford lost control of his drag racing car and hit a wall, causing the vehicle to overturn.
Police say Young was attempting to pass another vehicle when the accident occurred.
The custom built machine turned over.
Young died of injuries sustained in the crash.
Greene County Ambulance Service, Lyons Fire Department and Switz City Fire also responded.
