Linton Freedom Festival

The Linton Freedom Festival is June 30th - July 7th. The festival is an annual celebration of the Linton community. Events include arts & crafts, carnival, live bands, horse-pull, bed races, lip sync contest, Little Miss & Little Mister Linton Contest, Civitan ham & egg breakfast, fireworks display and a parade which means fun for the entire family. The 113th Linton Freedom Festival Parade will step off at 10 a.m. on July 4th. Fireworks will begin at 10:30 p.m. To see a complete lineup of events click here

Pekin Fourth of July Celebration

The 188th Pekin Fourth of July Celebration is June 29 - July 4, at Pekin Park in Pekin. The celebration, one of the oldest in the nations, is being promoted by the Pekin Community Betterment Organization. There will be a fireworks display, flea market and a parade on July 4th. There will be a variety of activities for everyone. You will also find a carnival, food vendors, a variety of live entertainment, a prince and princess contest and a queen contest, Pekin idol contest.

Bloomington B-Town Boom

Together with its corporate partners, the City of Bloomington will observe Independence Day with particular fanfare this year in honor of the City's Bicentennial. The annual parade, is paired with an inaugural downtown fireworks event. The festivities get underway with B-Town Boom, a block party and fireworks show tonight sponsored by Cook Group and CFC Properties. The celebration gets underway with a family-friendly block party at 4 p.m. on Kirkwood Avenue between College and Walnut streets. The fireworks will begin around 9:45 p.m. from the Trades District, just to the east of North Rogers Street between 10th and 11th streets. North Rogers Street will be closed between 8th and 11th streets from 8 p.m. until 11 p.m. and access inside the fireworks staging area will be restricted. in the event of rain, the fireworks display will be postponed until Saturday, at 9:45 p.m., The Fourth of July parade gets underway at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The parade begins at the corner of Seventh Street and Indiana Avenue, marches west to Walnut Street, turns north for one block to Eighth Street, takes Eighth Street to College Avenue, and proceeds south on College Avenue to Kirkwood Avenue. The parade ends at Kirkwood and Indiana avenues. prior to the parade, at 9 a.m. the parade takes place rain or shine. The Bloomington Community Band will perform on the Courthouse Square. The concert and parking downtown is free on Wednesday. Fireworks begin at 9:45 p.m.

City of Mitchell

The City of Mitchell will be hosting a fireworks display on Tuesday, July 3rd at Lehigh Field. The event will begin at dusk.

City of Paoli

Paoli Community Fireworks will be July 7th at dusk at the Jaycee Park on Cave Street.

Monroe Lake

The Fourwinds will be hosting a fireworks display on Monroe Lake, Wednesday July 4th, at 10 p.m. Rain date is scheduled for Saturday, July 7th at 10 p.m.

Brown County Fireworks

Celebrate the fourth with a spectacular fireworks display brought to you by the Brown County Lions Club on Wednesday, July 4th. Fireworks begin at dusk at the Brown County High School Football Field at 357 East Main Street in Nashville. Rain date is scheduled for Saturday, July 7, 2018

Solsberry Fireworks

After taking a year off due to a shortage of funds, the Beech Creek Township Eastern Fire Department will bring back the show in a big way Tuesday, July 3rd. This year's show will be done by Zambelli Fireworks. Thanks to the efforts of a dedicated group of firefighters plus donations of many businesses includeing Hash Farms Excavating, Roberts Construction and the Sexton Wilburt Corporation, this year's event will feature gospel bands, a DJ, giveaways and plenty of food. An opportunity to meet the Beech Creek Township Eastern Firefighters will be available at the Fire Department for interested attendees and food vendors including Big Cheese of Bloomington, Chocolate Moose, Limestone Barbecue, Great White Smoke BBQ and the Tulip Trestle Committee will be on hand, offering treats for every taste. The free fireworks show will begin at dusk. For more information, call 812-825-9969.

Ellettsville Fireworks

Fireworks will be held on July 4th at dusk at the Edgewood High School football field at 601 South Edgewood Drive. The event is free but donations would be appreciated. The event is sponsored by the Ellettsville Volunteer Fire Dept. Rain date will be announced but will probably be July 6th, 7th or 8th.

West Boggs Park

Fireworks will be let off at West Boggs Lake on July 3 at dusk. They will be set off at the old tennis courts. The beach is the perfect place to view the display.

DNR Properties

The public can watch fireworks at seven Indiana State Park properties between June 23 and July 7.
July 4 falls on a Wednesday in 2018. As a result, properties are hosting fireworks shows before and after the holiday. Personal fireworks are prohibited at Indiana State Parks.

On July 7:
Clifty Falls State Park: The annual Clifty Falls Independence Day Celebration will feature free music from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Enjoy Madison's fireworks, which will start between 9 and 9:15 p.m. Food will be available for purchase at the grill or buffet from 7 to 10 p.m.

Raccoon State Recreation Area: Beach Bash and Fireworks festivities begin at 10 a.m. with a "craft blast" for children. Beach games begin at 2 p.m. At 5 p.m., the third annual Big Bang Cornhole Tournament starts at the beach hill parking lot. Music runs from 8 to 10 p.m. at the beach house. Fireworks will start at 10 p.m. Donations will be accepted at the gate.

Versailles State Park: Fireworks are scheduled to begin at dusk at Versailles Lake. Gate fees will apply until 7 p.m. After this time, donations will be accepted.
