2018-19 Welcome Week Begins Monday at Bedford North Lawrence High School

(BEDFORD) - Hundreds of new North Lawrence Middle School sixth grade students filled the halls of BMS Monday afternoon.

Many searched for their classroom, others spent time struggling with combination lock on their lockers attempting to get their lockers open.

Parents signed agreements for chrome books and both students and parents listened to a welcome speech by Principal David Schlegel and Vice Principal Kelly Storm.

NLCS' First Student Day for the 2018-19 School Year is Thursday August 9th.

High School students will fill the halls at BNL during Welcome Registration Week Tuesday, July 31st through Monday, August 6th.

Welcome Letters with full information details about Welcome Registration Week, along with Online Enrollment info and Chromebook Agreement Form were placed in the mail the first week of July.

Students are asked to enter the high school through the Performing Arts Center to pick up Schedules, Orientation materials and Parking Passes. Please bring completed Chromebook Agreement Forms with both student and guardian signatures.

SENIOR DAY - Tuesday July 31st: 8.30 a.m. -1 p.m. & 2-3 p.m.
JUNIOR DAY - Wednesday August 1st: 8.30 a.m.-1 p.m. & 2-3 p.m.
SOPHOMORE DAY - Thursday August 2nd: 8.30 a.m.-1 p.m. & 2-3 p.m.
OPEN DAY - Friday August 3rd: 8.30 a.m.-1 p.m. & 2-3 p.m.
FRESHMAN ORIENTATION DAY - Monday August 6th: 8.30 a.m.-1 p.m. & 2-7 p.m. with Orientation Meetings at 9.30 a.m., 1.30 p.m., & 5.30 p.m.: Attend ONE Session

BNL Counseling Department will open during the following times for returning BNL Students to meet with their Guidance Counselor:

SENIOR DAY - Tuesday July 31st: 8 a.m.-Noon

JUNIOR DAY - Wednesday August 1st: 8 a.m.-Noon

SOPHOMORE DAY - Thursday August 2nd: 8 a.m.-Noon

OPEN DAY - Friday August 3rd: Noon-1 p.m. & 2 -3 p.m.

FRESHMAN ORIENTATION DAY - Monday August 6th: 9.30-1 p.m. & 2-3 p.m. & 6 p.m.-7 p.m.

OPEN DAY - Tuesday August 7th: 8.30 a.m.-10.30 a.m.

OPEN DAY - Wednesday August 8th: 11 a.m.-Noon

BNL is requesting ALL students and parents/guardians attend their Orientation Day. We will be distributing Schedules with Locker Info in the PAC. Parking Passes will also be available for purchase. Books and Fee Payment will be available at the Bookstore. Chromebook pickup will be at the IT Station, Room 1130. ALL students & guardians will be required to sign the Chromebook Handbook Agreement that was included in the mailer. Copies will be available at BNL. This form will be turned in at the IT Station when you pick up your Chromebook.

Chromebooks will be distributed during Welcome Week. Agreement Forms must be signed by students and guardians. NLCS Protection Plan will need to be declared prior to receipt of Chromebook. Chromebooks will be distributed by the IT Department in Room 1130.

Textbook Rental and Course Fees may be paid online through PowerSchool or at the BNL Bookstore. The Bookstore will accept Cash or Check and Credit/Debit Cards (with a $4 Fee).

Chromebook Protection Plan will be $25 if you opt to purchase this plan. You may pay via the Bookstore, or you can pay by Cash or Check only at the IT Station.

ONLINE Registration is now OPEN - Please complete the required registration for returning NLCS students anytime from home or computer access will be available at BNL during Welcome Week. You will need your access letter that was issued to you the first week of July.

NEW to NLCS/BNL Students will need to contact the BNL Office to schedule a registration appointment beginning August 1st. Incoming Freshman from BMS, OMS, SMS, and St. Vincent are already registered!
