Last updated on Thursday, June 28, 2018

(BLOOMINGTON) - Two access points that are currently open to State Road 37 will be closed permanently on or after Friday, June 29.

Access to mainline State Road 37 from Crossover Road on the west and Sparks Lane on the east will be eliminated. New permanent access to State Road 37 for motorists on the west side of the highway will be the Burma Road frontage road to the Sample Road interchange. New access for motorists on the east side of the highway will be to cross the Chambers Pike overpass to the Burma Road frontage road to the Sample Road interchange.

The closure of these access points will allow for the completion of the Burma Road frontage road on the west side and the completion of drainage work at Sparks Lane on the east side.

The temporary access to northbound State Road 37 from the Sample Road interchange continues to be northbound Wayport Road to an access point approximately 350' north of Fox Hollow Road.

In addition, in Morgan County access to State Road 37 at Old 37 South on the east side of the highway will also close to allow for drainage and median work, completion of the east side frontage road and work to tie in the Liberty Church ramps to mainline State Road 37.

All construction activity is weather dependent and the schedule is subject to change.
