(WASHINGTON CO.) - Indiana Department of Transportation’s $336,727 culvert replacement project on State Road 56 east of Lavonia scheduled to begin Friday (JUNE 29) is being postponed to the weekend of July 13 due to inclement weather.

Contracted crews now plan to begin installing the 12 foot by 6-foot concrete box culvert which measures 72 feet in width located on State Road 56 near the Hardinsburg-Livonia Road 0.7 miles east of S.R. 337 at 7 p.m. Friday, July 13.

The highway should reopen to traffic by 5 a.m. Monday, July 16.

Signs will detour motorists around the State Road 56 closure via State Road 337, State Road 37 and State Road 60.

Temple & Temple Excavating/Paving of Salem is INDOT's contractor for this small structure replacement project.
