Reward Offered For Information Of Five Arson Fires In Jackson County

(JACKSON CO.) - A reward of up to $55,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of an arsonist responsible for five suspicious fires in Hamilton Township in northern Jackson County.

The most recent fire was set Saturday night off of North County Road 300 East.

Hamilton Volunteer Fire Department Chief Donald Schnitker provided a list of the suspicious fires:

Chief Donald Schnitker says all the fires were set in vacant homes. Investigators do not suspect the fires are tied to insurance fraud.
