Lawrence County Sheriff's Department Hiring Corrections Officers

(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department is currently seeking energetic, dedicated individuals to be a member of our law enforcement agency in a Corrections Officer capacity.

Many individuals in today's society have an interest in working in the field of law enforcement; however, very few of those individuals know that starting in the Corrections Division is an excellent way to get your pathway to a career in law enforcement started! There are opportunities for advancement as many of our Deputies started their careers right here in the jail.

Candidates must be at least 21 years old, U.S. citizens and high school graduates (or equivalent).
Complete and pass a comprehensive written exam
Posses a valid driver's license
Undergo a criminal history background investigation
