(BEDFORD) - The Hoosier Hills Food Bank will have another food distribution from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Sherwood Oaks Christian Church at 508 Fellowship Drive in Bedford.

There will be an open enrollment opportunity to sign up for the program before the food is distributed.

The 40-pound box contains staple food items including: two boxes of cereal, two bags of pasta, two bottles of juice, two cartons of shelf-stable milk, canned fruits and vegetables, a protein item such as beans or peanut butter, a can of beef stew and a two-pound block of cheese.

CSFP is a U.S. Department of Agriculture program administered through the Indiana State Department of Health. The food bank is now enrolling seniors in all six counties where it operates the program including Lawrence, Monroe, Orange, Owen and Martin.

To qualify, seniors must live in Lawrence County, be 60 years of age or older and earn a total household income that is 130 percent or less of the Federal Income Poverty Level - for a one-person household $1,316 a month or $15,782 a year; for a two-person household $1,784 a month or $21,398 a year.

Before applicants can pick up a box, food bank staff will need to verify their address with a photo identification.
