French Lick Woman Suffers Minor Injuries After Deer Lands In Passenger Seat

(DUBOIS CO.) - A French Lick woman suffered minor cuts and scrapes after a deer went through her windshield and landed in the passenger seat of her car on Friday afternoon.

According to a Dubois County Sheriff's Department report, 37-year-old Jessica Combs was traveling north on US 231 around 4:20 p.m. when a deer ran into the path of her vehicle.

The deer jumped before Combs' car collided with it causing to go through the windshield and land in the passenger seat of her 2009 Chevrolet.


The deer died from the impact.


A passing Loogootee Volunteer Firefighter stopped to assist Comb, who suffered minor cuts and scrapes from the broken glass.
