Four-Session Dog Basic Manners Classes Begin June 18 At Wilson Park

(BEDFORD) - The Bedford Parks Department is offering a four-session Dog Basic Manners Class beginning June 18. The class is open to dogs at least 5 months old.

Owners and dogs will learn fun and simple positive training, management and behavior skills together.

Instructor Mary Hall will assist dog owners and their dogs in learning basic skills like sit, down, and wait, as well as fun tricks.

Dog owners will also learn management tips that will help solve many common behavior problems. Concerns, such as care, play and nutrition, will also be addressed.

Participants receive a cloth treat bag, training treats, a helpful booklet and a certificate of completion.

The class is held at Wilson Park Shelter House Mondays from 6-7 p.m. June 18 to July 9. The cost is $75. Class size is limited. Registration is done in advance at the Bedford Parks Department office, or by phone at (812) 275-5692.

Proof of appropriate vaccinations is required on or before the first day of class.
