Entries Sought For Great Catfish Parade

(SHOALS) - The Great Catfish Parade using the theme “Catfish - King of the Ring” will be held on Saturday, June 30th, starting at 10:30 a.m.

Entries for the parade are now being accepted.

Call either of the 2018 Parade Co-Chairs, Norma Baker or Theresa Fuhrman, to enter. You can reach Norma, at 812-709-0542, or Theresa, at 812-631-1044, to sign up. No call ins will be accepted the day of the parade -- No exceptions. Liability forms will need to be signed as you check in the day of the parade.

Line up on parade day will start anytime after 8:30 a.m. Judging will begin at 9:30 a.m. Everyone is to be lined no later than 10 a.m. If your entry is to be judged please be lined up before the 9:30 a.m. deadline.

Parade entries are to enter on Highway 150, turning onto 2nd Street near Bailey Bros. Check in will be at the bottom of the hill where liability forms can be signed. Directions will be given as where to park until parade time.

There will be "No Sirens" used during the parade by emergency vehicles, however, flashing lights are acceptable.

Dirt bikes will not be allowed in the parade. 4-Wheelers can only be ridden if pulling a float. No one will be allowed to sit on wheel wells of tractors.
