Entries Sought For Annual Midsummer Judged Art Exhibit At Wiley Art Center

(BEDFORD) - Entries for the annual Midsummer Judged Art Exhibit in Lawrence County will be accepted from 2-4 p.m. June 20 at The Wiley Art Center in Bedford.

Winners will be revealed at a public reception from 5-7 p.m. June 22 at the gallery.

You do not have to be a member of the Lawrence County Art Association to enter the show. Those interested in entering are invited to enter two-dimensional artwork for judging in this show.

Artwork will be judged by art instructor Cathy Bullington. Entry categories are Photography, Landscape & Seascape, Still Life & Flowers, Portrait & Figures, Animals & Birds, and Abstract/Fantasy/Non-Objective.

Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third places in all categories as well as Best of Show and People's Choice Awards.

Artists over age 18 are invited to enter up to three works of art at $5 per entry. Artwork may be offered for sale, but will remain on exhibit until July 21.

The Wiley Art Center is located at 14th and J Streets in downtown Bedford. Hours are Thursdays and Fridays 1-5 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. For further information contact Sammie Justesen (sammie@norlightspress.com) or visit the Lawrence County Art Association Facebook page.
