(MITCHELL) - The registration deadline for the Mitchell Community Public Library Summer Reading Fun program for ages pre-school to the eighth grade is June 8th.
Stop in the library to pick up your reading log and brochure with the instructions and list of programs for the summer. Don't miss out on prizes, activities and guest musicians.
The event will be kicked off with a special Summer Reading Fun event with Leonardo Music presenting a show of music and comedy that entertains, educates and empowers participants to rock and read.
Persimmon City Pickers
On June 7 and June 21 is the regular jam sessions for Pickers at the library. Sessions will begin at 6 p.m. Come for a good summer jam complete with watermelon and cantaloupe to keep you cool while you listen. Players of all abilities are welcome. Those who do not play musical instruments are invited to come and listen.
Library survey
Please stop by the front desk or the desk upstairs and pick up your library survey. Fill it out anonymously and drop it in the tray. Let the staff know what you think and give them your ideas. The survey is so staff can better service the community. Surveys will be available all summer.
