Civil War Days This Weekend At Spring Mill State Park

(MITCHELL) - Civil War Days is this weekend at Spring Mill State Park.

The event will share with visitors what life was like in Indiana during the Civil War. The event is made possible through a grant from Lawrence County Tourism.

Battles are scheduled at 2:30 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday in Sycamore Field, near the end of the village parking lot.

There will be many encampments for visitors to peruse with more than 100 soldiers taking place in the re-enactment.

At 1 p.m. both days there will be a program in the Meeting House as historians share what life was like in the Pioneer Village during the Civil War.

Park admission is $7 per vehicle for in-state residents and $9 per vehicle for out-of-state residents. Annual entrance passes also are available and will be accepted for admission.
