City of Bloomington Utilities Announces New Assistant Director of Environmental Programs

(BLOOMINGTON) - City of Bloomington Utilities (CBU) has named James Hall as the new Assistant Director of Environmental Programs.

Hall is a graduate of Indiana University and has more than 10 years of leadership experience in water and wastewater treatment processes and compliance. He is moving to CBU from his current position as Environmental Compliance Manager for the State of Indiana Military Department. Hall holds several certifications related to hazardous material handling and safety.

Hall rounds out CBU's management team, which is headed by Director Vic Kelson and includes five assistant directors for the Environmental, Engineering, Finance, Transmission & Distribution, and Operations divisions. Hall's position is newly created as part of a reorganization related to the retirement of long-time Deputy Director John Langley. CBU's environmental programs include water quality, backflow prevention, commercial wastewater pretreatment, PCB monitoring, septage hauling, and the Fats, Oils, Grease program for the City's water, sewer, and stormwater utilities. Hall is scheduled to start at CBU on June 18.
