2018 Judah Heritage Festival Parade Information

(JUDAH) - Larry Ritter, Vice President of the Judah Heritage Board announced the 2018 Judah Heritage Festival Parade.

Larry educated the parade audience with a brief history of Judah. Notating that Samuel Judah began the development of Judah in the 1800's.

Larry Ritter also announced that the board of the non profit 501(3C) organization would welcome anyone that has interest in wanting to help see Judah grow. The board meets every second Tuesday of each month at the Judah Heritage Park.

The current Judah Heritage Board members are: President Larry Hardman, Vice President Larry Ritter, Treasurer Steve Jones, Secretary Kim Henry and Grounds Keeper Danny Henry. The board's current project is to enclose the shelter house located at the Judah Heritage Park that has recently been wired with electricity.

They are enclosing the shelter so that community members can reserve the structure for family gatherings, events and celebrations. Should you have interest in reserving the shelter contact Danny Henry at (812) 797-1999.

Abigail Prince kicked off the parade singing her beautiful version of the National Anthem while the parade onlookers saluted the flag.

The Grand Marshals of the parade were Danny and Lorena Henry. Danny and Lorena Henry were being honored for not only being long time residents of Judah but also for dedicating many hours and a lot of effort to help the community grow and prosper.

The parade had approximately thirty entries this year. Some of the children's favorites among the parade entries were the Lions Club patriotic entry...

Parade spectators were awed by the beautiful 2018 Judah Heritage Festival Queen, Taylor Hayse. Taylor was driven in a red convertible mustang provided by Bedford Ford Lincoln Chrysler...

The Judah Heritage Festival was also honored to host the 2018 Miss Indiana State Festival Queen, Alyson Gouveia.
