Workshop Planned On Johnsongrass Control

(BEDFORD) - A workshop on how to manage the non-native invasive Johnsongrass is planned for Saturday, June 16 at Spring Mill State Park.

The workshop, held from 10 am to noon will include a discussion and field demonstration of plant identification, treatment options, and long-term planning for controlling this invasive.

Multiple treatments will be conducted for future comparison on effectiveness. Meet at the Spring Mill pool parking lot at 10 a.m..

The workshop is sponsored by the invasive management group "KIC" - Keep Invasives in Check, and Spring Mill State Park.
