What's Happening At Orange County HomeGrown Famers Market

(ORLEANS) - The Orange County HomeGrown Farmers Market is off and running with the 2018 season.

Everyone is welcome to join each Saturday morning on Congress Square from 8 a.m. until Noon.

This week you can expect to see:

From Home kitchens:

Pies, cookies, cakes, peanut brittle, fudge, granola, cinnamon rolls, cupcakes, muffins, brownies, jam, jelly, turnovers, syrups, banana bread, yeast bread and rolls, quick breads, more will be added weekly.

From craft folks:

Heirloom quality wooden bowels, squirrel feeders, bird house gourds, dog collars and leashes, greeting cards, botanical items, hand painted signs and household items, wind chimes, purses, dolls and doll clothes, hand made jewelry, dish towels, bird feeders, leather goods, photographs, rugs, soaps, lotions, rustic furniture, leather belts, wood crafts, dish cloths, stuffed animals, baby blankets, baby clothes, baby items, boomerangs, hats, Amish Baskets, air fresheners, body butters, lip gloss, walking canes, tote bags, crochet and knitted items, oil and acrylic paintings, knitted and crochet items, wind chimes, jackets, marsh mellow and potato guns, wreaths, and much more.

From farms and home gardens:

Plants, plant starts, flower arrangements, eggs, lettuce, strawberries, green onions, radishes, herbs, rhubarb and beef. More produce will be added as Mother Nature allows.

Jammers are tuned up and filling Bicentennial Stage with music:

Everyone is welcome to bring a chair, join in with your instrument, your voice, or just sit and listen. This is a fine group of folks that make everyone feel welcome. If you come and join the Jammers two times, you will receive a free Jammer t-shirt. Just give Andy your shirt size and receive a shirt..

Our Buck a Book will be open for business:

Everything is just $1. Children are welcome to pick out and keep one book each market day for free. The Turners have worked hard over the winter to sort and stock a great variety of new and used books. There is also a large collection of Western titles.

Our "Family Friendly" events will start the first Saturday in June.
