Two Arrested In Jackson County On Immigration Charges

(JACKSON CO.) - Two men were arrested in Jackson County for violating immigration laws.

Jackson County Sheriff Deputies arrested 31-year-old Wilfred Rodriguez-Ocasio of Seymour last Tuesday on a charge of operating a vehicle without a license. As he was being booked into the jail, officers discovered Rodriguez-Ocasio was being sought by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for immigration violation, after coming to the United States from Mexico. He was transported to Indianapolis the same day by ICE officials.

Police arrested 24-year-old Diego Tomas Bartolome of Seymour for driving without a license on Sunday. During his arrest officers discovered that Bartolome also illegally immigrated from Mexico and is currently awaiting transfer Indianapolis.
