(HUTSONVILLE, IL.) - A Sullivan woman was found dead in her car last night after it plunged into the Wabash River from the Hutsonville, Illinois boat ramp.
Crawford County, Illinois authorities say 56 year-old Barbara Hightshoe was seen slumped over the wheel when the car went into the river.
The vehicle was recovered in 28 feet of water, around 120 feet from where it went into the river.
Rescue crews recovered the body just after 7:30 Eastern time last night.
An autopsy is scheduled for today at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.
