(MITCHELL) - Mitchell Community Schools Superintendent Steve Phillips will retire on or about January 1, 2019
Phillips announced his retirement Monday night during the school board meeting to allow ample time for the board to find his replacement.
Phillips, who has served the school system for more than 34 years, began as a high school principal in Mitchell in November 1984. He has been superintendent since January 2011.
