(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police were called to the Animal Shelter, in the 3410 block of South Walnut Street, at 5:25 p.m. on Saturday after a report of a man attempting to steal a cat.
Police say the 21-year-old man who had previously attempted to adopt a cat, was denied, was in the shelter's cat room when the staff noticed he placed a cat in his jacket and attempted to leave.
Shelter employees stopped the man, who returned the cat.
Shelter offiicals did not press charges.
