Kiwanians Limestone Garden Marker Stolen From Waldron, Hill & Buskirk Park

Last updated on Thursday, May 3, 2018

(BLOOMINGTON) - This 60-lb. limestone garden marker disappeared from Waldron, Hill & Buskirk Park near the city police station, during Little 500 weekend, and local Kiwanians want it back.

Indiana's Bicentennial Commission approved the garden as a Legacy Project. Ellettsville's Bybee Stone Co. cut and donated the Indiana-shaped marker, which is one foot wide, two feet high and 2.5 inches thick. Club members paid to have it engraved with the Kiwanis International emblem in the middle.

Kiwanians really just want the marker back.

The stone can be returned to the Allison Jukebox Center, 349 S. Washington St., adjacent to the park or by calling a Kiwanis member to have someone pick it up.
