(BEDFORD) - Eighth-grade students now will be eligible to participate in the Bedford North Lawrence High School marching band.
The Times-Mail reported North Lawrence school board members during a meeting Thursday, voted to approve the change.
Band rehearsals take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-8:45 p.m. and on Fridays after school until 6 p.m. Rehearsals are scheduled at times that prevent interference with the usual school day.
In other business, the board voted to add two new classes to the curriculum.
Beginning with the 2018-19 school year, Digital Applications and AP Physics will be added to the curriculum. Both are dual-credit courses offered through Ivy Tech.
