(BLOOMINGTON) - Tonight all traffic on the 2nd Street Bridge (SR 45) will be shifted to the south side of the bridge to allow for construction on the north lanes.
Crews will begin installing sidewalks, mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls and lighting. Earth moving and drainage work will also take place.
Also beginning tonight, there will be a nightly closure of one westbound lane on the 3rd Street Bridge (SR 48) to allow crews to relocate a water line. The lane closure will be in place nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through next Monday.
Motorists are urged to reduce their speed, pay attention to changing traffic patterns and drive with no distractions. All construction activity is weather dependent and the schedule is subject to change.
