Nashville Police arrested 36-year-old Dixie Floyd Dorantes, on two felony counts of intimidation and attempted battery on a public safety officer and misdemeanor charges of intimidation, resisting arrest and leaving the scene of an accident.

According to a Brown County Circuit Court probable cause affidavit, Dorantes was arrested on May 3 after waving a large sword at a DCS worker.

Nashville police says the DCS worker had taken Dorantes' child because she repeatedly failed to pick the child up at the Brown County YMCA.

According to court records, Dorantes waved a "viking style sword" at the DCS worker after they showed up at Dorantes home to pick up items for the child.

Police say Dorantes was also involved in two car crashes as she tried to find the worker.

Dorantes had pleaded not guilty to the charges and remains in the Brown County Jail on a $16,500 bond.
