Last updated on Thursday, May 24, 2018

(BLOOMINGTON) - An investigation conducted by the Bloomington District ACES (Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Section) resulted in what is believed to be the largest single meth seizure in Monroe County history.

The investigation resulted in approximately 3 pounds of meth being seized from traffic stops and multiple search warrants of Monroe County residences. The total street value of the meth seized was estimated to be more than $136,000.

The investigation began on the evening of May 22nd after Trooper Riley Nungester conducted a traffic stop along State Road 37, near Arlington Road. During this stop, approximately 4 grams of meth was recovered. Information obtained during the traffic stop led troopers to identify a possible methamphetamine dealer in Bloomington.

On May 23rd, troopers were granted a search warrant that found nearly 2 ounces of meth inside a residence. In addition, marijuana, Schedule IV controlled substance pills, and drug paraphernalia were seized. Troopers also recovered three handguns - one .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol, one .9mm semi-automatic pistol, and one .380 caliber pistol.

All guns were loaded and two had the serial numbers obliterated.

Information located during the first search warrant led to information on two other suspected meth dealers. Once the suspected dealers were identified, they were located in a vehicle near Kinser Pike and State Road 45/46 Bypass.

Troopers Zach Parker and Gabe Bault conducted a traffic stop where Trooper Allen Deel deployed his canine, Drogos, who gave a positive alert. A search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of more than 2 ounces of meth, along with drug paraphernalia and several different types of Schedule II, III, and IV controlled substance pills.

All pills and meth were packaged and ready for sale.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as 33-year-old Tiffany Flynn and the passenger was identified as 35-year-old Brandon Norris. Both reside on Valley View Lane in Bloomington.

Flynn is facing charges of felony charges of dealing meth and possession of meth over 28 grams and misdemeanor charges of three counts of possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, possession of a Schedule III controlled substance, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance.

Norris is facing felony charges of dealing meth, possession of meth over 28 grams and maintaining a common nuisance.

Troopers then received a search warrant on the Valley View Lane residence. While serving this search warrant during the early morning hours today, the ACES recovered 2.75 pounds of meth, US currency, scales, and drug packaging materials.

The investigation is ongoing and troopers expect to arrest other suspects on a multitude of drug and firearm related offenses.

Involved troopers included Riley Nungester (lead investigating officer), Chris Griggs, Zach Parker, Gabe Bault, Caleb Garvin, Matt Harris, Allen Deel, and Sgt. Greg Day along with ISP DES detectives.

Anyone with drug information is encouraged to contact the Indiana State Police Post at (812) 332-4411.
