Bloomfield School District Employee Suspended After Alleged Inappropriate Conduct With High School Student

Last updated on Tuesday, May 15, 2018

(BLOOMFIELD) - An employee with the Bloomfield School District has been suspended from duties and banned from school property and activities following accusations of inappropriate conduct with a high school student outside of school.

Bloomfield School Superintendent Jeff Gibboney says the incident was reported to school officials on or around May 7 and immediately reported the allegation to law enforcement.

"Indiana State Police Detectives at the Bloomington Post are investigating a complaint of an alleged inappropriate sexual relationship that occurred within the Bloomfield School System. There have been no arrests made and the case is still ongoing, " says Bloomington ISP Sgt. Curt Durnil.

Superintendent Gibboney says school officials are limited on what they can report because of the ongoing investigation.
