When police arrived they found 42-year-old Christopher Latimer and a female in the parking lot.

"The female was in one area of the lot and Mr. Latimer was in another," Chief Dennis Parsley says. "Officers tried to speak to Mr. Latimer, who was refusing to answer questions and continued to yell and scream."

Police say Latimer was unsteady on his feet.

"He was asked to submit to a breath test and refused," Chief Parsley says.

The woman told police Latimer had hit her in the back of the head with his fist and had grabbed her arm causing pain.

"The woman had a old injury to her lip," Chief Parsley added. "She told officers that injury that Mr. Latimer had hit her in the mouth a few days ago."

Officers arrested Latimer, but he didn't cooperate and began fighting with officers.

"Once in the police car he began banging his head on the window and kicking the door," Chief Parsley says.

Latimer was arrested on charges of domestic battery, disorderly conduct, public intoxication and resisting arrest.
