Bedford police were called to the emergency room at 3:15 p.m. after a report that 39-year-old Nathan Sharpe of Bedford was out of control.

According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, when officers arrived they saw Sharpe had pulled out his IV and was "slinging blood all over the room."

"He continued to yell and be unruly after numerous request to calm down," Chief Parsley added. "After refusing to cooperate with police and hospital staff, he was arrested."

Because of Sharpe's level of intoxication he was taken straight to jail on two charges of disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
