Police arrested 50-year-old Steven Kirschbaum on charges of intimidation, pointing a firearm and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon. He was booked into the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown at 5:44 a.m. where he is being held without bond pending his initial hearing.

According to Jackson County Sheriff Mike Carothers, deputies were called to the 2600 block of North State Road 11 after a report of shots fired.

Kirschbaum and a woman had been in an argument when Kirschbaum went outside and fired a .40-caliber handgun through a wall into the house.

Sheriff Carothers says at least six bullets entered the home where the woman was sitting in a chair and struck a television near where the woman was sitting.

Police say alcohol is believe to have played a role in the incident.
