Series Of Public Meetings To Discuss Acquisitions Of Monon Railroad Right-of-Way

(UNDATED) - A series of public meetings to discuss the acquisition of the Monon Railroad Right-Of-Way “Monon South.”

Those attending will discuss the continued use of this 62 mile corridor as a bike, hike transportation route at the north end from Yockey Road in Lawrence County, through Orange, Washington, Clark and Floyd counties to Mt. Tabor Road in New Albany.

Officials will also explain about "trail towns", and to shift three national routes, each for hiking and bicycling, onto this corridor, to get hikers and bicyclists off of busy streets and roads.

The meetings are open to the public and will be used to field public comments, to ascertain and build support
for a trail.
