Lawrence Co. Sheriff's Department Participating In National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

Last updated on Thursday, April 26, 2018

(BEDFORD) - Saturday, April 28th is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

Put on twice a year by DEA, Take Back Day will bring opportunities to safely dispose of extra prescription drugs at secure drug take back locations all over the country.

However Lawrence County residents have the opportunity to participate every day, 24 hours a day by dropping off unwanted prescriptions in the Sheriff's Department drop off bin in the department's upper lobby.

This bin is not just available this Saturday, it is available all year, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of prescription medications.
