(BEDFORD) - Join Lawrence County Purdue Extension on Saturday, April 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a Bicycle Workshop at 1401 J Street.

This program is open to youth grades 3-8.

The event will cover bicycle safety and maintenance, the rules of the road, how to properly fit a bicycle and helmet, and nutrition for an active lifestyle.

Workshop cost is $10 per participant and includes lunch.

Following each workshop, families are invited to join the participants for a group ride on the Milwaukee Trail at 2 p.m. for no additional cost. Trail users should be prepared for increased traffic during this time.

Registration can be found at bit.ly/lawrence4hbike. Please register by April 13. Helmets are required for every rider. We can help you if you don't have one, and we can also loan you a bike for the day if needed! You don't need to be a member of 4-H to participate!
