(BLOOMINGTON) - A fire destroyed a home on the eastside of Bloomington Friday morning.

Bloomington Firefighters were called to the home at 4:23 a.m. in the 1200 block of South Fenbrook Lane.

Bloomington Fire Department Chief Jason Moore says two of the four our tenants were inside the three-bedroom ranch home when the fire started. One of the residents threw a cat from a window. The residents were able to escape unharmed.

It took firefighters about an hour to contain the blaze that destroyed the home.

Fire investigators say the fire started at the back of the house. The cause remains under investigation.
