Duke Energy Awards Marketing Partnership Program Grants To 13 Economic Development Organizations

(PLAINFIELD) - Duke Energy has awarded grants ranging from $2,000 to $5,000 to 13 economic development groups as part of the company’s 2018 Marketing Partnership Program.

"The Marketing Partnership Program is designed to help our Duke Energy-served communities implement strategic marketing plans that can showcase the community's assets and support continued economic development growth and prosperity," said Erin Schneider, director of economic development for Duke Energy Indiana. "Working together as a team, we improve the chances of success for our communities."

• The economic development organizations receiving the grants include:
• Daviess County Economic Development
• Greene County Economic Development Corp.
• Jackson County Industrial Development
• Bloomington Economic Development Corp.
• Greater Lafayette Commerce
• Grow Wabash County
• Boone County Economic Development Corp.
• Vermillion Rise Mega Park
• Hendricks County Economic Development Partnership
• Greensburg/Decatur County Economic Development
• Southwest Indiana Development Council
• I-74 Business Corridor Regional Group
• Shelby County Development Corp.

The organizations received the grants through a competitive application process. They were selected based on their regional economic development activity, innovative approach and the overall benefits and sustainability of the initiative.
