Clayton Anderson Benefit Concert Coming to BNL PAC May 12

Last updated on Wednesday, April 25, 2018

(BEDFORD) - The Clayton Anderson Benefit Concert with special guests Stone Carnival and Cody Ikerd is coming to the Bedford North Lawrence Performing Arts Center Saturday, May 12.

The proceeds of the event will benefit two organizations that help women: The Mary Kay Foundation and Becky's Place.

"The Mary Kay Foundation has kind of a twofold mission. One is to support research to eliminate cancers that affect women and then also to eliminate domestic violence and provide safe places for women and children," said Lori Kim, Independent Consultant for Mary Kay and event organizer for the event.

Becky's Place has one main goal. Through their 90 day program, each resident is to obtain permanent housing as they work with a case manager to develop a life plan, seek employment or further education, and commit to remaining drug and alcohol free.

In addition, those in the program who are employed are required to commit to saving at least 75 percent of their income.

"I have had the opportunity to be in the facility [Becky's Place] and get to know what they do on a deeper level... Honestly it really brought me to tears to think that we're going to be able to be such a small part of the mission that they do. And it is going to be something I want to continue to support," said Lori.

Lori and her mother, Janie Anderson, are both Mary Kay Independent Consultants and organizers of the event. They saw the opportunity to support both organizations with the help of a talented family member and country music singer, Clayton Anderson.

"Well they kind of cornered me and told me that I didn't have any choice," Clayton said laughing.

All jokes aside, Clayton has been known to do many benefit concerts -especially for Riley Children's Hospital and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

"It just seemed like something that we would all enjoy and a way that our family could give back," said Lori.

General Admission tickets are $10 and can be purchased at B Fancy Boutique and Salon, Studio M and GNC Bedford.

Meet & Greet tickets are available for $50 and that includes a meet and greet with Anderson, early admittance for preferred seating and acoustic performance by Clayton.

VIP Backstage Package is $100 and that includes food, backstage access and seating stage side to feel like part of the band.

Tickets can be purchased online here.
