(BEDFORD) - A Bloomington woman was arrested after she allegedly vandalized a vehicle and then fought with officers during her arrest Wednesday night.

Police arrested 52-year-old Cindy Kinser on charges of battery on a police officer, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest by force, criminal mischief.

According to Lawrence County Chief Deputy Aaron Shoults officers were called at 9:32 p.m. to the 2200 block of Avoca-Eureka Road after a report that Kinser had vandalized a Chevy Equinox parked in a garage at the residence. The vehicle had damage to the paint from where Kinser allegedly keyed the vehicle.

"An LCPD officer was en-route to this call when he overheard that an Oolitic officer was out with Kinser at Casey's General Store in Oolitic," Chief Deputy Shoults says. "A short time later the Oolitic officer advised that he had Kinser in custody for disorderly conduct, battery on an officer and resisting arrest by force."

The LCPD officer drove to Casey's where he met the Oolitic officer and Kinser allegedly admitted to keying the vehicle on Avoca-Eureka Road.
