(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police Department is proud to announce Sergeant Joshua Taylor as the 2017 Bloomington Police Department Officer of the Year.
Sergeant Taylor received multiple awards for his outstanding service including the Valor Award for his extreme heroism and courageous action taken while confronting a life threatening situation, the Bravery Award for his exceptional performance while confronting circumstances of considerable danger, and the Lifesaving Award for his extraordinary action while saving a human life.
He also received the Merit Award for his dedicated and ongoing service to the Bloomington Police Department.
