Bloomington Amateur Radio Club Conducts Testing for FCC Amateur Radio Licenses

(BLOOMINGTON) - The Bloomington Amateur Radio Club conducts testing for FCC amateur radio licenses on the first Saturday, each month.

Testing is at the First United Church, 2420 East 3rd St, Bloomington, just west of Eastland Plaza behind Prompt Care and IU Credit Union.

Testing always begins at 12 noon. Please arrive 20-30 minutes early to fill out all paperwork.

When: Noon on the first Saturday of each month

Where: First United Church on East 3rd St, Bloomington

What do I need to bring to testing?
a) $15.00 to cover testing fees
b) If you are testing for the first time, bring 2 pieces of ID, and one must be a photo ID.
c) If you are upgrading your amateur radio license, please bring your FCC license, and any CSCEs you may have, as well
as photocopies of these documents along with your photo ID.

Retesting: If you fail an exam and would like to try again, you may do so if the examiners are willing to stay
the extra time to give the test and you pay the $15.00 VE fee again.
