(BEDFORD) - The Bedford First Church of God is hosting a free church safety seminar May 12.
The event will be held at the church at 3131 16th Street from 9 a.m. until Noon.
Church safety and security expert, Ron Aguiar, will be speaking to local church leadership about ways to keep their buildings and members safe. With more than 30 years of experience, his insight and delivery will leave attendees with the knowledge and training to make safety improvements inside and outside of their church.
"It is sad that we need to think about church safety today, says Pastor Mark Duncan, "But in the world we live in, we must. We will be hosting the church safety seminar at our church free to all Lawrence County churches. Ron Aguiar, is a very experienced and professional church safety expert who will help us make our churches a safer place to worship."
Topics that will be covered during this seminar are:
Copies of Ron's book, "Keeping Your Church Safe", will be available for purchase.
From 8:30 a.m. until 9 a.m., a light breakfast will be served.
Each church should bring no more than five members to the seminar. We are limited to 250 seats.
