(UNDATED) - April 18, 2018, is National Lineman Appreciation Day to recognize line workers across the country and their vital role in maintaining and growing the energy infrastructure, their work to protect public safety after catastrophic events and keeping the lights on for the communities who depend on us.
Line workers are true heroes in our communities. Duke Energy's line workers' skill and dedication make the difference to our customers and demonstrate Duke Energy at its best. Our line workers embody the heart and soul of Duke Energy. Their profession requires passion, dedication and ongoing training.
A lineman's work often involves sacrifice, both for him and his family. Linemen must respond at all hours of the day and night to restore electric service to our customers.
