(BEDFORD) - The 30th Annual Senior Fair held on Wednesday, April 18th at Sherwood Oaks Christian Church Bedford was a great success.
There were over 570 in attendance and over 50 vendors there to share about their services and products. Attendees took advantage of a variety of free health screenings including Video Otoscope provided by Advanced Audiology, Spinal Alignment and Bone Density provided by Health Care Center and Vision provided by the Bedford Lions Club and more.
The Lawrence County Health Department offered tetanus, pneumonia, and flu vaccinations onsite to attendees.
Seniors enjoyed Appleacres apple cider, Magic Morning cookies, popcorn and coffee. Stonebridge Health Campus provided a delicious free Senior Lunch for all attendees of pulled pork, baked beans and coleslaw.
The BINGO tables were filled the entire day and each winner took home a prize from the prize table. Bingo was provided by Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation. Westview has a special BINGO event coming up called Vera Bradley BINGO on April 26th participants can play 20 games for $25 where each winner takes home a brand new Vera Bradley bag.
Super Oldies 105.5 and 1340 AM WBIW held $100 cash drawings at the event. John Scoggan, Malinda Adcock, Ray Lamb and Shirley Foddrril all walked home with some extra cash in their pockets.
Bedford's municipal public transit system, TASC, offered free rides to and from the event to residents who live within Bedford city limits.
