White Nationalist Leader Arrested after Domestic Fight at His Home in Paoli

Last updated on Wednesday, March 14, 2018

(PAOLI) - White nationalist leader Matthew Heimbach is facing charges of battery following an incident involving his wife’s stepfather.

Heimbach, dubbed "the next David Duke," was arrested Tuesday on a felony count of domestic battery and a misdemeanor charge of battery. He posted a $1,000 cash bond shortly after his arrested and was released from the Orange County Jail.

Heimbach, who lives in Paoli, is the chairman of the Traditionalst Worker Party, which has been identified by the Southern Poverty Law Center as a hate group. He was instrumental in promoting the "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville, Va., last August.

The arrest stems from an incident involving Heimbach and his wife's stepfather, Matt Parrott after Parrott confronted Heimbach about an alleged affair between Heimbach and Parrott's wife.

Parrott helped Heimbach form the Traditionalist Worker Party.

According to court documents, the alleged assault occurred at the Paoli property where Heimbach and other members of the TWP live. Parrott then left and called police from an area Walmart.

Heimbach's wife told police her husband pushed her and grabbed her face in front of their two young children.
