Washington Winter Percussion is currently ranked third in the State in their class.

Two weeks ago, the indoor percussion won a contest at Ben Davis High School, defeating last year's state champion and state runner-ups along with among others. That win moved the Washington group up to sixth place in the state rankings. Building on that momentum, students headed off to the state prelims at Greenfield Central High School.

"Not only did we qualify for the state finals for the first time in the history of the program, we beat nearly every group in our class and are now ranked third in the entire state," said Hagen. "We are currently sitting just about two points outside of first."

The State Finals were postponed last weekend due to inclement weather and has been moved to Terre Haute South on Saturday April 7th.
