Two Die From Smoke Inhalation

(WHEATLAND) - Autopsies have confirmed that a mother and son found dead in a house fire in Wheatland died of smoke inhalation.

Knox County Coroner Brian Hagen says that 72-year-old Mary Louise Wallace and 45-year-old Danny Wallace were identified as the victims in Tuesday morning's blaze.

Their bodies of were found early Tuesday morning following a fire in a home at 473 North Nimnicht Road.

An autopsy on the bodies was performed later in the day.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Steen Township Fire Department, the State Fire Marshal's Office, Knox County Sheriff, and Knox County Coroner.
